1 · PROTECT THE SOURCE
Create export folders. Never overwrite originals.
A square listing and a portrait social image can cut different parts of the same photo. Keep the original untouched and create a separate output for each destination.

2 · FIT OR CROP
Fit preserves the full product. Crop fills the frame.
Fit and pad keeps the source aspect ratio and protects every edge, adding background where needed. Fill and center crop covers the output frame but can remove content from the long edge. Start with fit when packaging text, handles, logos, or product boundaries sit near an edge.
3 · WORKING PRESETS
Useful export sizes are not approval guarantees.
MarketPack exports Etsy at 2000×2000, Amazon at 1600×1600 with a white background, Shopify at 2048×2048, and an Instagram convenience output at 1080×1350. Etsy recommends listing images at 2000px or more. Amazon guidance describes a 1600px-or-larger longest side and pure-white main-image background. Shopify documents 2048×2048 as a square product-image size.

Category, file-size, content, background, and rights rules can differ and change. The Instagram 1080×1350 preset is a convenient 4:5 output, not a claimed mandatory size.
4 · REVIEW THE ZIP
Check four things before uploading.
- No product edge, label, or logo was cropped unintentionally.
- Outputs that require white padding are actually white.
- Product filenames and marketplace folders did not get mixed.
- The destination's current category, content, and rights rules are satisfied.
Automated resizing cannot judge visual suitability or marketplace acceptance. Open and inspect the final files.
